Bokasi
The First Shoe for Freerunners
"You don't need any money to do Parkour, just a pair of good shoes"
-David Belle, Inventor of Parkour.

Parkour and Freerunning
Two Sports Without a Shoe
Stairs, walls, railings, and ledges are no match for those who navigate the concrete jungles. Traceurs (Parkour) and Freerunners (Freerunning) practice a unique appreciation for the urban landscape.
Parkour is an exercise in discretion and optimization, traversing the city as quickly and efficiently as possible; meanwhile, freerunning incorporates twists, flips and other elements from dance and gymnastics into this performative display of dexterity and vitality.

Both sports find athletes relying on shoes that are not purpose-built for their needs.

Conquering the Wall Run
Performance Assisting Footwork
One of the more difficult maneuvers for freerunners and traceurs is the Horizontal Wall Run which allows them to clear gaps or cross stairwells without breaking their stride. In this move, a traceur will run alongside a wall, then use the sides and the ball of their foot to pull themselves up onto the wall as they continue moving across the gap.

Wrap Around Outsole
3-Dimensional Stability
Bokasi provides support for horizontal wall running with its wrap-around outsole. This enables runners to apply the traction of their sole to the side of the wall requiring less pressure, putting less strain on their feet, and allowing them to reach greater heights.
